The Popeye 7 Seas slot machine by Lightning Gaming was a really fun slot that I only scratched the surfaced of and will play more in the future. While I may change my opinion after further review, this one seems to have a lot going for it with the chance for high-paying progressives, Big Wins, and even Big Jackpots! The base game is a 5-line game in a typical 3×3 reel grid where the goal is to either get a big line hit, trigger the wheel bonus, or trigger one of the 6 unique bonuses: there’s a lot going on here! The wheel bonus is triggered by getting at least 3 spinach cans which awards you a 1x multiplier although the more cans you get the higher your multiplier will be, up to 20x! You then spin the wheel for a credit award or one of the 6 bonus games, both of which your multiplier will be applied to, pretty cool! The 6 specialty features can each be triggered in the base game by lining up 3 of the same bonus symbols on a payline although what’s novel is that these symbols are smaller and subordinate to the main pay symbols of the game, so they don’t block your ability to get a payline like the spinach can bonus symbols do.
