Cats is in many ways a very basic video slot which incorporates the concept of “Split Symbols” for premium symbols only. Split symbols count for two of the same symbol type so if you land a Wild symbol and a standard premium symbol on a line, that’s all you need to win! Consequently, the pay table for premium symbols allows for wins between 3 and all the way up to 10, if you land all Split Symbols and/or wild symbols on a payline.

The bonus is triggered by landing 5 or 6 paw bonus symbols on reels 2, 3, and 4 for 5 or 10 free games respectively. If you only land 4 total symbols, regardless if they span the three reels, you will just receive a credit award. Free games in Cats are played on an alternate set of reels, although there doesn’t appear to be a huge advantage of playing a free game versus a standard game, as you will see.
